📍 Location: Hull, East Yorkshire
💷 Pay Rate: £15.40 per hour
⏰ Hours: 10 hours per week (must be flexible to work on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Fridays between 08:30 - 13:30)
🚗 Essential: Full UK Driving Licence
Are you an experienced Support Worker, Care Assistant, Healthcare Assistant, Complex Care Support Worker, or Brain Injury Support Worker looking for a rewarding part-time role in Hull?
We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Support Worker to provide one-to-one support for a gentleman living with the long-term effects of a brain injury. This is an opportunity to make a genuine difference by promoting independence, confidence, wellbeing, and community engagement.
This role would suit someone who enjoys building positive relationships, providing person-centred support, and helping individuals achieve their goals in everyday life.
About the Client
You will be supporting a friendly and motivated gentleman in his 50s who lives with his family in Hull. Following a brain injury, he experiences:
- Reduced mobility and physical weakness on one side
- Mild epilepsy
- Vertigo
- Tinnitus and hearing loss
Despite these challenges, he remains determined to maintain his independence and enjoy life to the fullest. Your support will play a key role in helping him continue achieving this.
🐾 The family also have a friendly Labrador, so applicants should be comfortable around dogs.
Responsibilities
As a Brain Injury Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing personalised one-to-one support
- Encouraging independence and confidence
- Supporting mobility and daily living activities
- Assisting with medication administration
- Preparing meals and drinks
- Supporting community access and social outings
- Planning enjoyable activities and routines
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Promoting wellbeing and social engagement
- Following support plans and reporting any concerns

You should be:

✔ A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
✔ Comfortable around dogs
✔ Hold a Full UK Driving Licence
