Brain Injury Support Worker
Location: Bishopsworth, Bristol
Hours: 9am-6pm, 5 days per week (Tues, Thurs, Fri, Sat & Sun – plus Mon & Wed cover for any AL)
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Brain Injury Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to our client, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
Due to role responsibilities, you must have a full UK driving licence and be willing to drive the client’s car.
About the Client:
Our client is in his 50s with a brain injury, following a bicycle accident. As a result, he has poor memory and requires support with taking his medication however, has full mobility.
He likes to have a laugh, so we are keen to find team members with great sense of humours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalized care and support to our client.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
- Administer medication and monitor health conditions.
- Accompany client in the community, including bowling and out for food.
- Provide emotional support and companionship.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the client's condition.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements:
- Experience in a similar role, preferably with brain injury experience and challenging behaviours.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Energetic, upbeat, and empathetic nature.
- Great sense of humour.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work the specified hours.
- Valid UK driver's license.
