Join Our Team as a Complex Care Team Leader – Make a Real Difference!
We’re offering an exciting opportunity for a team leader to work alongside our client with complex needs in Bristol.
Pay: £18.00 per hour
Hours: 19 per week over two days (09:00 – 18:00 & 09:00-19:00 )
About the Role
You’ll be supporting a gentleman in his 50s who has no clinical needs but due to a brain injury requires support with day to day tasks such as, maintaining his environment, attending appointments, engaging with his interests and living independently. We're looking for someone with experience in support work and the ability to build a strong, supportive relationship through clear communication and empathy. Though he has no clinical needs there is an element of challenging behaviour.
He lives in a bungalow and receives daytime support from his care team, he enjoys ska music, going out to the cinema or for meals, walks and bowling. Your role will be to support him physically and emotionally, helping her live life to the fullest.
What We’re Looking For
Due to the client's needs, we’re seeking a support worker with:
- A genuine passion for care and making a difference
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature
- Reliable, committed, and flexible approach
- Experience in complex care and managing challenging behaviours
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
You’ll need to be confident working independently and collaboratively, with the ability to build a trusting relationship with the client and her family.
Key Responsibilities
As a team leader, you will:
- Lead, support, and motivate care staff to deliver outstanding person-centred care
- Conduct spot checks, supervisions, and competency assessments
- Assist with rota management and ensure adequate staffing for each care package
- Maintain accurate care records
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, families, and professionals
- Support with training and development of care staff
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safeguarding, and health & safety regulations
- Provide hands-on care when required to maintain service continuity.
